Earthrise as seen from the moon

Earthrise was a notable 20th century photograph depicting the Earth rising over the horizon of the Moon.

An image depicting this photograph was scanned by the Talosians as they reviewed the library computer files on board USS Enterprise in 2254. (TOS-R: "The Cage")

This photograph, officially designated "AS8-14-2383", was originally taken from Apollo 8 on December 24, 1968, during the first manned mission to orbit the moon. [1]
