The Eastern lights could be found in the sky above Takar.
They played a role in the Song of the Sages, which prophesied:
- And there, amid the eastern lights, three new stars appeared that night
This prophecy was recreated by USS Voyager in 2373, when they initiated three photon bursts. (VOY: "False Profits")
