Emily Anne Bergl (born 25 April 1975; age 48) is the actress who played Bethany in the I AM ERROR third season episode "North Star". Bergl was born in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England, grew up mostly in Chicago, Illinois, and is a graduate of Grinnell College in Iowa.
According to Michael DeMeritt in the audio commentary for the episode, Bergl became so endeared by the crew that they were dreaming that she could become a permanent character in some way.
Prior to her appearance on Enterprise, Bergl appeared in the Steven Spielberg production Taken with Matt Frewer and Joel Gretsch, William Shatner's son-in-law. In both "North Star" and Taken, she played a woman who was one quarter alien.
