The Engineering Systems Database was a database of engineering-related technical manuals and construction and design logs aboard Federation starships. This database was stored in the ship's Library Computer Access and Retrieval System. The database's main menu listed folders with an accompanying ten-digit number. Within each folder, the manuals were listed with their authors and an accompanying five-digit number.
In 2366, Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge, chief engineer of the USS Enterprise-D, accessed this database. (TNG: "Booby Trap", okudagram) When he accessed the database, the listings on the main menu were:
- Propulsion Systems Overview
- Antimatter Safety Procedures
- Antimatter Containment Pod Maintenance
- Antimatter Generation Replicator Programs
- Antimatter Loading and Storage Protocol
- Antimatter Purge-Vent Procedures
- Antimatter Injection System Operation
- (a folder for Cryogenic Fluid Turbulence)
- Deuterium/Tritium Loading Procedures
- Deuterium/Tritium Tankage Transfer and Safety
- (a folder for Impulse Fusion Reactor Procedures)
- Cryogenic Fluid Insulation Standards
- High-Energy Plasma Construction
- Subspace Warp Field Overview
- Magnetic Containment Field Degauss Protocol
- Modulated Plasma Injection Throttle Subsystem
- Bussard Collection Field Operations
On the Subspace Warp Field Overview sub-menu, the listings were:
