Eric Whitmore (10 January 1955 – 20 February 2022; age 67) was an actor who played an Ocampa in the Star Trek: Voyager first season episode "Caretaker" for which he received no credit.
Whitmore mainly played police officers or military personnel. He graduated with an BA in speech/communication from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, as well as a degree in communications from the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis, and studied acting under Beverly Sanders and action acting (combat and weaponry) under Anthony De Longis. Whitmore appeared in several stage plays and live shows. In 1989, he was employed as an actor for Disney-MGM Studios in Florida. He later studied Acting in Action: Combat and Weaponry with Anthony De Longis at UCLA.
On-screen he mainly appeared in television series, including Superboy (1990), Models Inc. (1994, with Chris Nelson Norris), The Client (1996, with Emilio Borelli and Pat McGroarty), Space: Above and Beyond (1996, with Lanei Chapman and Tucker Smallwood), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1998), Seven Days (1998, pilot episode, with Alan Scarfe, Norman Lloyd, and Jerome Butler), and in different roles in three episodes of JAG (1997-1998, alongside Paul Collins, Jerry Hardin, and Tina Lifford). Other television series he worked on include Caroline in the City (1998, starring Lea Thompson and Amy Pietz), Two Guys and a Girl (1998), Crusade (starring Gary Cole, Tracy Scoggins and Marjean Holden), Martial Law, and Titans (2001).
Whitmore appeared on feature films such as Passenger 57 (1992, starring Wesley Snipes and Bruce Greenwood, with Alex Datcher and Robert Hooks) and Wilder Napalm (1993).
