Ericka Bryce (born 14 August 1969; age 55) is a former actress and stuntwoman who appeared as a security officer in the Star Trek: The Next Generation sixth season episodes "Man Of The People" and "Timescape". She received no credit for her appearances and her uniform was later sold off on the web. [1] In 2006 she married film and television transportation captain Ron Poniewaz, Jr. and is known as Ericka Bryce Poniewaz. Born in Santa Ana, California, Ericka "Whiplash" Bryce has worked as a set medic since 1997.
As an actress, Bryce had featured and background parts in episodes of Melrose Place (1992, with Gina Ravarra) and CBS Schoolbreak Special (1995, with Shawn Michael Perry), Something to Live for: The Alison Gertz Story (1992, starring Martin Landau, with George Coe, Robert Bauer, Janet MacLachlan, and Neil C. Vipond), Lies and Lullabies (1993, with Lawrence Monoson, Tim Kelleher, Liz Vassey, and Carrie Stauber), On Deadly Ground (1994, with Mike Starr, David Selburg, Warren Tabata, Chic Daniel, Brian Simpson, Shawn Michael Perry, and Louise Fletcher), Sioux City (1994, with Salli Elise Richardson, Adam Roarke, Earl Boen, and Erik Stabenau), and Junior (1994, with Frank Langella, Stefan Gierasch, Alexander Enberg, Lawrence Tierney, Ethan Dampf, and Tracey Walter) on which she also worked as set production assistant.
She performed stunts in Last Action Hero (1993, with Greg Barnett, Janet Brady, Johnny C. Meier, Manny Perry, Glenn R. Wilder, and Merritt Yohnka), the television series Go West (1993), True Lies (1994), Virtuosity (1995), Strange Days (1995), and Eraser (1996, starring Vanessa Williams). In addition, Bryce worked as stand-in and double for actress Tia Carrere in Jury Duty (1995).
Bryce worked as set medic, supervising medic, and production medic on projects such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Spawn (1997), The 6th Day (2000), Dark Blue (2002), Daredevil (2003), Hellboy (2004), 13 Going on 30 (2004), XXX: State of the Union (2005), Bewitched (2005), Wedding Crashers (2005), Smokin' Aces (2006), The Number 23 (2007), Grindhouse (2007), Death Proof (2007), Superbad (2007), Land of the Lost (2009), Bridesmaids (2011), Casa de mi Padre (2012), This Is 40 (2012), and the television reality project Making of the LA Kings Ice Crew Calendar (2016).
