Experts Demise

Experts Demise was a ski slope on the Cosmic Duchess of considerable difficulty; which, as the name implied, was considered dangerous even for expert skiers. The beginning of the slope was located near that of another on the same artificial mountain, Cowards Gulch, and the end of a cliff.

In 2382, Lieutenant jg Brad Boimler inadvertently traversed the slope while pursuing a Denobulan woman during the search for the AWOL admiral Milius, after mistakenly assuming she would be skiing the much easier Cowards Gulch. Boimler, not experienced in skiing, fell from the cliff at the slope's end. The Denobulan woman, who frequented the slope, told Boimler that she had never before seen anyone fall from the cliff and live. (LD: "The Best Exotic Nanite Hotel")
