Claire Raymond's family tree

Patri Doxica

Patri Doxica's family tree, represented in a lalogi orb

A family tree was visual representation used in genealogy to graph an individual's familial connections.

Among the Akaali, lalogi orbs held significant value to a family, representing a family's history by including their holographic likeness on the branches of an actual representation of a tree. (DIS: "The Examples")

Counselor Deanna Troi researched the family tree of Clare Raymond in late 2364. (TNG: "The Neutral Zone")

In 3190, Michael Burnham returned a lalogi orb to Patri Doxica, inspiring her to create her own version of a family tree including Spock, Sarek, Mike Burnham, Gabrielle Burnham, Saru, and others. Cleveland Booker noted upon seeing the tree that, although frustrated over his late father's birthday, Booker wasn't including him on any family trees. Burnham's tree later inspired Zora to create something similar for herself of the USS Discovery crew. (DIS: "The Examples", "Stormy Weather")

The Picard family album prop included an extensive Picard family tree, though those pages were not featured on screen. (Picard's Family Album, Star Trek Generations special features)
