Federation Day is a day of celebration commemmorating the founding of the United Federation of Planets. The actual date is unknown, though a newspaper clipping created for Star Trek: Generations but not seen onscreen gave it as 10.11.2161, which could be either October 11 or November 10 depending on whether the American or European system is being used.
A card game called "Federation Day" poker existed in the 24th century, in which "2"s, "aces", and "6"s were wild, since the Federation was founded in 2161.
