A Federation cargo shuttle was a shuttlecraft type operated by Starfleet in the 2250s and 2260s. Military shuttles used the same basic frame. (Star Trek Into Darkness, Star Trek Beyond)
Physical arrangement[]
This type of shuttlecraft had two stub wings positioned below the center line on either side of the craft. There were two small impulse drives located in the aft bulkhead, just below the center line.
The "body" of the craft was dominated by the two large manipulator arms located aft of the cockpit and above the center line. These arms could be used to manipulate large sections of a starships hull during construction.
This shuttle type also had retractable landing gear located in the ventral hull. (Star Trek Into Darkness, Star Trek Beyond)
