For the medical condition, please see fever.

"Fever" was a song from 20th century Earth.

It was sung by the holographic Lola Chrystal in the Bashir 62 holosuite program in 2374. (DS9: "His Way")

Never know how much I love you, never know how much I care
When you put your arms around me, I get a fever that's so hard to bear
You give me fever - when you kiss me, fever when you hold me tight
Fever - in the the morning, fever all through the night.

Everybody's got the fever, that is something you all know
Fever isn't such a new thing, fever started long ago.

Sun lights up the daytime, moon lights up the night
I light up when you call my name, and you know I'm gonna treat you right
You give me fever - when you kiss me, fever, if you live, you'll learn.

Fever! Till you sizzle. What a lovely way to burn.
What a lovely to burn.

Actress Nana Visitor, who began her acting career as a stage musical actress, sings "Fever" in "His Way". Visitor's performance of "Fever" was included on The Best of Star Trek, Volume Two. Visitor chose the song herself.
Chase Masterson also recorded a version for her album The Thrill of the Chase.
According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 1, p. 269), the song told of the emotional arousal during the early stages of a humanoid mating ritual and was written by J. Davenport and E. Cooley.
