Changes: Fictional spacecraft

Fictional spacecraft were those that existed only as a fictional reference. Further examples would include illusory spacecraft or holographic spacecraft.

22nd century vessel

This 22nd century vessel was claimed to have been visited by Professor Berlinghoff Rasmussen and a colleague on one of their time travel adventures.

Doctor Beverly Crusher assumed that said vessel was an Eart- or early Federation starship, as she shared her knowledge of contemporary 22nd century medical technology, stating that "they hadn't perfected quarantine fields. You probably saw some surgical masks and gloves." (TNG: "A Matter of Time")

Unless Rasmussen aquired this knowledge in reviewing the time-pod's logs, there is some question on whether this ship existed, for much of what Rasmussen said was proven to be a lie.

Beta XII-A ship

In 2268, the USS Enterprise received a distress call from the colony on Beta XII-A in which they said that an unidentified ship was attacking them. Upon approaching the planet, the Federation starship failed to detect the ship. The distress call, and the colony, were a fabrication of the Beta XII-A entity. (TOS: "Day of the Dove")

Romulan battle cruiser

In a holoprogram created by Barash, William T. Riker had, in 2379, saved this Romulan battle cruiser, with collapsing warp coils and failing life support, that had drifted into Federation space. This action impressed the Romulans and was the first step toward an alliance. (TNG: "Future Imperfect")

This battle cruiser was only mentioned in dialogue.
