The First City of the Klingon Empire was the capital city of the Klingon Empire, located in the southern hemisphere of the planet Qo'noS. The seat of the Klingon High Council, it was home to the Klingon High Council Chamber as well as the Great Hall. (DIS: "The War Without, The War Within", "Will You Take My Hand?")

Beneath the High Council chamber was one of the seven chimneys leading to the planet's underground volcano system. Previously, the site had housed an ancient shrine to Molor. (DIS: "Will You Take My Hand?")

Since the shrines were said to be abandoned, this chimney was likely one of those said to be built over, rather than an current part of the council chambers.

One section of the city was the Old Quarter, where Kahlest resided in 2366. (TNG: "Sins of The Father") The House of Duras resided within the city in the Duras family home. (TNG: "Redemption") The House of Kozak had its ancestral home within the city. (DS9: "The House of Quark")

For most of the Klingon Civil War, the city was neutral ground. (TNG: "Redemption II")

The skyline of the First City was a matte painting created by Illusion Arts. (Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 1, p. 272))
"Looking for par'Mach in All the Wrong Places" implies that "a Great Hall" was located in Qam-Chee, which may be the Klingon name for this city. The episode may be referring to a different Great Hall, though.
