* This episode was written and produced after [[UPN]] declared that, as they had done with the [[VOY Season 1|first]] and [[VOY Season 2|second season]]s of ''Star Trek: Voyager'', they would air four episodes produced at the end of the series' second season as part of its [[VOY Season 3|third season]].
