I think an accessible list of abbreviations used to identify series and films would be handy, if it doesn't already exist. I'm a long term fan, but sometimes I have difficulties working out what some of them mean (currently, for example, I still don't know what TAS stands for in the 22nd and 23rd Century drop down menu - AH! I've just worked it out: The Animated Series!). For someone with less familiarity then me, this could hamper there navigation, use and enjoyment of the encyclopaedia. Please could we include one and make it accessible? I could start one. Woofboy (talk) 15:32, August 14, 2019 (UTC)

TAS stands for Star Trek: The Animated Series.--Typhuss999 (talk) 16:06, August 14, 2019 (UTC)
For a list of series abbreviations (and other useful information), see Help: Linking to episodes and films. -- Renegade54 (talk) 21:58, August 14, 2019 (UTC)

Thank you, both. What I mean is, can we make a list of abbreviations that's accessible to help people understand what things mean as they navigate (as it says on the main page, our aim is to make an 'accessible encyclopedia')? This isn't just for me (like I said in the OP, I manages to work out what TAS meant), but for people who might be newer to Star Trek. Perhaps it could go in the FAQs? All of the citation links in articles and elsewhere on MA have tooltips enabled. Take TAS: "More Tribbles, More Troubles" for instance. If you hover your cursor over the TAS, you'll get a pop-up that says "Star Trek: The Animated Series". If you hover over the episode name, you'll see "More Tribbles, More Troubles (TAS 1x05)", the episode name, series, and episode number. You don't need a lookup page, because the explanation is on every page where it's used. -- Renegade54 (talk) 16:07, August 20, 2019 (UTC)
