FYI: User Ice~thwiki has made 3 edits in 3 articles, all of of them vandalism, apparently. - Darth Duranium (talk) 14:08, November 10, 2017 (UTC)

It's best when you actually provide links to the user, the edits, the contribs, ANYTHING. -- sulfur (talk) 14:44, November 10, 2017 (UTC)
PS all three have been to edit a date in. I'm happy giving the benefit of the doubt, assuming that they just can't figure out how to edit properly. -- sulfur (talk) 14:46, November 10, 2017 (UTC)

I just won't bother leaving a heads up, next time. Have a nice day. - Darth Duranium (talk) 15:25, November 10, 2017 (UTC)

There is a difference between vandalism (a deliberate effort to deface articles or be disruptive) and an editor simply being unaware or not knowledgeable. Thanks for the report, but it's important to assume good faith. 31dot (talk) 15:56, November 10, 2017 (UTC)

That rationale is fine by me and I appreciate the thanks, 31dot. What I don't appreciate is the discourtesy that some of the mods/admins show to many folks who contribute (or, in many cases, used to contribute) to this wiki. I interact positively with many Trek fans on many forums and this is the only one where some folks seem to go out of their way to be rude and/or totally unhelpful. There's no need for it; it's supposed to be a bit of fun. - Darth Duranium (talk) 16:42, November 10, 2017 (UTC)

What's the significance of the dates supposed to be? --LauraCC (talk) 16:50, November 10, 2017 (UTC)

Yar, 'tis a mystery, LauraCC. And what do Nokia, Pioneer (company) and Dairy Queen have in common? I'm thinking a bot did it for some diabolically fiendish purpose (i.e. galactic domination) and I, for one, welcome our new alien overlords. ;-) - Darth Duranium (talk) 18:09, November 11, 2017 (UTC)

The specificity of the dates suggests something other than random testing out the wiki to see how it works. Significant to the user, perhaps? --LauraCC (talk) 18:12, November 11, 2017 (UTC)
