Fuzz was a Nanokin who served as a Section 31 operative in the early 24th century. He was a member of Alpha Team under Alok Sahar, alongside Melle, Quasi, and Zeph. His teammates described him as "fun-loving", his propensity for sudden bursts of extreme anger notwithstanding. Fuzz was an expert in hacking body modifications, his tiny size enabling him to infiltrate and subvert their systems from within.

Fuzz piloted a "bootleg" conveyance in the form of a Vulcan, one of two identical models acquired by Section 31 on the black market. When necessary, he could put the conveyance on autopilot and leave it in a backup vehicle.

On stardate 1292.4, Alpha Team was dispatched to the Baraam to intercept the sale of a bioweapon by Dada Noe. In actuality, they were dealing with Noe's mirror universe counterpart, who was attempting to sell a Terran Empire superweapon called the Godsend. Unbeknownst to the others, Fuzz had turned against Section 31 and aligned himself with San, a Terran who planned to use the Godsend to destroy the Federation and build a new empire in the prime universe. Fuzz believed that the Nanokins had no use for the Federation, and that once it fell his people would again "rule" as they had in the past.

After San seized the Godsend, Fuzz accompanied his team to a Section 31 safe house. He sabotaged their ship and the base's antenna array, stranding them on the planet with no way to summon help. When the opportunity arose, Fuzz hacked Zeph's exoskeleton and forced him to send a transmission alerting San to their position. He then murdered Zeph with his own suit, and planted evidence implicating Lieutenant Rachel Garrett in the act. When his deception was exposed by Philippa Georgiou, Fuzz remotely activated Zeph's suit to cover his escape from the base, whereupon he was beamed onto San's ship.

Fuzz and San proceeded to the Crescent Nebula, where the passageway to the mirror universe was due to reopen. However, they were engaged by Alpha Team manning an abandoned garbage scow. Fuzz left his conveyance and took a shuttle to attack the scow. Though the scow was unarmed, Garrett devised a means to destroy Fuzz's shuttle by hitting it with a Droom doll, containing a volatile terrenium power source, she had found amongst the ship's cargo of trash. Meanwhile, Fuzz's conveyance was disabled by Sahar in hand-to-hand combat.

Fuzz was married to Wisp, who was about to lay their first batch of egg sacs. He had already named all 190,000 hatchlings. Despite his apparent death, Wisp was convinced he still lived, as "little things sometimes survive big explosions". She joined Alpha Team to find and punish him for his treachery. Fuzz's conveyance was played by Sven Ruygrok.
