Gail Arias is a dancer, choreographer, singer, fitness instructor, and actress who appeared as a nightclub patron in the Star Trek: Voyager second season episode "Lifesigns" for which she filmed her scene on Wednesday 3 January 1996 on Paramount Stage 16. Together with her husband Jamie Arias, she also worked as choreographer on this episode for the dancing sequence between Robert Picardo and Susan Diol.
For over twenty years, Gail has been a leader in the corporate fitness, health, wellness and dance industry. She studied dance at UCLA, Dance Center West, Hollywood Dance Center, Westmore Studio, and Sloan and Sloan Studio. Gail is a credentialed Yoga, Pilates and Dance Fitness instructor who holds a bachelor of science degree in nutrition.
She was the principal fitness model for the "Inversion Table", and has been featured in magazines such as American Airlines, Dance Australia, Society Magazine, Omni Magazine, Vitality Magazine, and Dance Action. She worked as a runway and print model for Perry Ellis Couture, Macy's, Pasadena Athletic Club, Big 5, Neiman Marcus, was among the finalists in the Super Model of the World Search hosted by Elite Modeling Agency, won first place in the 1990 Los Angeles Lambada Championship, US Open Championship finalists '91-'94, Feather Award recipient for America's Favorite Showcase Dance Couple with husband Jamie in 1994 and 1995, awarded first place in the 1995 World Swing Dance Championship in Anaheim, California produced by Buddy and Laurie Schwimmer. Crowned Mrs. California International in the Summer of 1999 until the Summer of 2000.
In 2006, Gail was Inducted into the West Coast Swing Dance Hall of Fame.
She has choreographed for Soul Train Music Awards, Star Trek Voyager, Walker, Texas Ranger, Sears and Toyota commercials, Lambada Workout video, Miss Teen California contestants dance segments, and the World Class Productions Inc. Global Tour 2000. Performances include (in part) Hollywood Jazz Festival, Las Vegas Revues, the Duran Duran Rio Tour, "Nights in Vienna", Beach Boys at the Shrine Auditorium, Alliance for the Arts, the Tai Chi sequence in Morgan Fairchild's stress management video, Presidential Inauguration 2004 performance in Washington D.C.
In addition, Gail appeared as a dancer in The Young and the Restless, The Learning Channel, Nip/Tuck, Still Standing, Gilmore Girls, and Lucky and was featured in "E" Entertainment!, Orange County on the Move, and 11:00 News.
