A game show was a type of television program that featured players competing in a game to win prizes.
According to an anything but canon account, after the captain of the USS Enterprise discovered that his words conjured the things he spoke of, he started listing off all the interests he desired his "dream woman" to share with him, naming, among other things, his love of game shows. Once he finished, his dream woman was found sitting at a nearby station, wearing a button that read "I love game shows." (VST: "Skin a Cat")
