For the in-universe character, please see Gary Seven.

Gary-7 is an actor also credited as Gary Helm.

He played the dialogue-free role of the Nibiran elder in Star Trek Into Darkness, and was uncredited for his appearance.

He was educated in music at Oberlin and did some theater on the side. In the late 1980s, he moved to New York City's East Village as a musician and adopted the stage name "Gary-7" at that time. [1]

His first proper job as an actor was working with Faye Dunaway on The Seduction Of Dr. Fugazzi, a movie filmed in 2005, but not released until 2009.

He has also appeared in a variety of films and television shows including the second season of American Horror Story, Asylum, The Hitchhiker, and Caravaggio and My Mother the Pope (2015, with Mary Grace, Nancy Guerriero, Max Freeman, and Vincent van Hinte).
