The Gasko system was a single star system in the Beta Quadrant.

Stellar cartography[]

In 2256, the system's location was labeled on the star chart "Alpha/Beta Quadrant Overview" in the ready room aboard the USS Discovery. In that year, the Klingons occupied this system. This occupation lasted at least into the next year. (DIS: "Magic to Make the Sanest Man Go Mad", "The War Without, The War Within")

In 2259, the location of this system was labeled on a stellar cartography chart that was seen on the USS Enterprise's ready room viewscreen. This system's symbol had a green color, indicating that it was affiliated with the Romulan Star Empire. (SNW: "Strange New Worlds", "Spock Amok")

The system's location was labeled in a Federation star chart that was in Fleet Admiral Kirsten Clancy's office at Starfleet Headquarters in 2399 and on the bridge of the USS Titan-A in 2401. The Gasko system was in or near to neutral space. (PIC: "Maps and Legends", "The Next Generation", "Disengage")

The name of this system came from the source material used, the Star Trek: Star Charts and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library, to create the star charts seen in both Star Trek: Discovery and Star Trek: Picard.
Further information on this system could be had from the Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 63) and the Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Stellar Cartography", p. 33; "Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"). the primary of the Gasko system was an A-class star. The Gasko system was identified as a Romulan system in a star chart created by the Stellar Archivist Lsel Essik for the Romulan Master Data Catalog in 2366.
