Gene Cross (born 19 October 1943; age 78) is an actor and musician who appeared as a follower of Sybok in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, directed by William Shatner. He received no credit for this appearance.

Other film work includes supporting roles in the war coomedy More American Graffiti (1979, with Erik Holland and Kevin Rodney Sullivan), the crime drama Escape from Alcatraz (1979, with Larry A. Hankin), the comedy Richard Pryor: Live on the Sunset Strip (1982), the comedy Jo Jo Dancer, Your Life Is Calling (1986, with Barbara Williams, Mike Genovese, and Sam Hennings), and the television pilot of Alien Nation (1989, with Gary Graham, Eric Pierpoint, Michele Scarabelli, Ron Fassler, William Frankfather, Tim Russ, Jeff Austin, Aaron Lustig, Tierre Turner, Biff Yeager, Conrad Hurtt, and Noon Orsatti).

He was also featured in episodes of Bewitched, The Thorn Birds (1983, with Christopher Plummer, Brett Cullen, John de Lancie, Jean Simmons, Philip Anglim, Richard Kiley, Vidal Peterson, Meg Wyllie, and Nan Martin), Misfits of Science (1985, with Kevin Peter Hall, Kenneth Mars, Ralph Brannen, and Greg Barnett), The A-Team (1985, with Dwight Schultz, Ray Wise, Wendy Schaal, John Vargas, and Jophery C. Cross was a regular background actor on several episodes of Hill Street Blues (1981-1984) where he worked with James B. Sikking, Barbara Bosson, Conrad Hurtt, Cassandra Foster, Dwayne McGee, Bob Bryant, and Ilona Wilson. In addition, he worked as stand-in for Tom Skerritt on episodes of Picket Fences (1992, with Justin Shenkarow, Raye Birk, Deborah Van Valkenburgh, Michael Keenan, Kelly Connell, Roy Brocksmith, Jack Murdock, Ray Walston, and Peter Slutsker) and Philly (2001, with Joanna Cassidy, Kristanna Loken, Ron Canada, Robert Harper, Jennifer S. Parsons, Jamie McShane, and Michael Bailey Smith).

Cross also worked as set and production assistant on the thriller Side Roads (1988) and the action sequel xXx: State of the Union (2005), as still photographer on the documentary Fire Eyes (1994), and as narrator on the documentary Boxers and Ballerinas (2004).
