Georg Friedrich Händel was a German composer from Earth who lived in the 18th century.
Data, together with his "mother" Juliana Tainer, performed Händel's Passacaglia for Violin and Viola during a concert aboard the USS Enterprise-D in 2370. Data played the violin, while Tainer played the viola. (TNG: "Inheritance")
According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 1, p. 324), the birth and death years of Georg Friedrich Händel were 1685 and 1759, respectively. Furthermore, the authors of the reference work described Handel as a composer of Baroque-era symphonic music.
