George Wilson (2 August 19217 December 1998; age 77) was a prolific comic book cover illustrator. He is known for his realistic style using oils and acrylics.

A Richmond Art School and the Pratt Institute graduate and World War II veteran, Wilson worked for Western Publishing, doing the covers for a number of their titles, including over forty issues of "Space Family Robinson", more than thirty issues of Star Trek, and a few covers of The Phantom, and Mighty Samsom. The other company he created numerous comic book covers for was Dell Comics for their Tarzan and Combat releases.

Starting out as commercial illustrator after the war he worked for advertisement agencies and publishers such as Dell Publications, Bombay Boomerang, Jove, Avon, and Harlequin Books. It was at Dell that Wilson found his calling as comic book cover illustrator in 1955.
