Gerald David Bauman is a former actor who worked for several months as stand-in on Star Trek: First Contact.

Bauman was a regular background actor on several episodes of The Love Boat in the 1970s and 1980s. He also worked as body double for Richard Gere on the crime drama American Gigolo (1980, with K Callan) and was a well-known hand model on many commercials including several for McDonald's. He appeared as a bar patron in the Cheers episodes "Give Me a Ring Sometime" (1982, with Erik Holland, David Channell, and Buzz Barbee) and "Little Sister, Don't Cha" (1983, with Paul Willson, Robert Hitchcock, Joel Schultz, Gayle Frank, and Marvin Smith) and as a restaurant waiter in the Falcon Crest episode "Justice for All" (1985, with Robert Foxworth, Kate Vernon, Bibi Besch, Jonathan Frakes, John Blower, Peter Eastman, and Walter Smith).

Besides acting, Bauman has been working as private jeweler in Beverly Hills for over 40 years and is the owner of Noble Shield. [1]
