Gerard David, Jr. is a former actor who was a regular background performer on Star Trek: The Next Generation. He portrayed an operations ensign and is also listed as Gerard David on several call sheets. His first episode was the fourth season episode "Brothers". He was also one of the dead Brattain crewmembers in the episode "Night Terrors".
According to the call sheets, David, Jr. was scheduled to appear in the fourth season episodes "First Contact", "Night Terrors", "Identity Crisis", "Qpid", "Half a Life", and "Redemption" in scenes on the bridge but was either not filmed or cut from the final episodes. David, Jr. was also on set for the fifth season episodes "Redemption II", "Silicon Avatar", "The Game", "Unification II", and "Violations" but was not part of the final episodes.
Beside his work on Star Trek, David was also featured in episodes of Knots Landing (1986, with Christopher Carroll, Patrick Cronin, Louis Giambalvo, Bennet Guillory, and Tina Lifford), Falcon Crest (1988, with Castulo Guerra, Allan G. Royal, Angela Paton, and Carl Ciarfalio), and Harry and the Hendersons (1992, with Bruce Davison and Nicholas Shaffer).
