The German Army (German: Heer) was the ground forces branch of the Wehrmacht.
In the Hirogen's holodeck recreation of World War II created aboard the USS Voyager in 2374, the Mademoiselle de Neuf character sought a launcher that could fire armor piercing grenades to blow up a German tank if necessary. She then noted that "three more German battalions have occupied the city and a Panzer division is holding position eleven kilometers away." (VOY: "The Killing Game")
It was later revealed that the French Resistance, that Mademoiselle de Neuf and others belong to, had stolen most of their supply of guns from the German Army, and their the explosives were purchased on the black market. (VOY: "The Killing Game, Part II")
