Guard #1 []
A Gideon guard
This Gideon guard was a native of the planet Gideon. He was ordered to keep a watch on James T. Kirk, who was being used unwittingly as a means to introduce disease to the planet's population. He was distracted when his colleague was suddenly rendered unconscious by Spock's Vulcan nerve pinch, before being grabbed by Spock, hurled down a corridor and knocked unconscious. He and the other guard wore black bodysuits covering all but their faces and hands.

This Gideon guard was also in charge of keeping a watch on Kirk. However, he was rendered unconscious by Spock, using the Vulcan nerve pinch. (TOS: "The Mark of Gideon")
Natives []
These Gideon natives were seen by Captain Kirk when he discovered that he was being used to spread Vegan choriomeningitis, an infection that is fatal if untreated. Kirk had recovered, but remained a carrier.
The Gideons were suffering from an intolerable population explosion, since they lived in a germ free environment. His blood was to be used so the population of Gideon could be infected and reduce the population. They wore bodysuits like those of the guards, but in various colors. (TOS: "The Mark of Gideon")
Prime minister []
The prime minister of Gideon was in treaty negotiations with the Federation in the 2260s. During the negotiations, the minister learned about Captain James T. Kirk and his recent experience with Vegan choriomeningitis. (TOS: "The Mark of Gideon")
