Gin is a Human playing card game. Gin was played in Las Vegas, Earth as prior to 1962, and was therefore included in Vic Fontaine's program.
In 2375, Vic offered to play gin with Quark, who was bored of playing "go fish". Quark refused however, stating he preferred to play tongo, which was not included in Vic's program, as it originated on Ferenginar. (DS9: "What You Leave Behind")
Tuvok demonstrates that he is a skilled gin player against Chakotay, while waiting for a traitor to be discovered. (VOY: "State of Flux")
