Glynis Johns was a British actress on Earth in the 20th century; active in the years 1939 - 1999. She also danced and sang; the song "Send in the clowns", composed by Stephen Sondheim for the musical "A little night music", was written especially for her.
She appeared as Maid Jean in the 1956 comedy The Court Jester with Danny Kaye. Phlox watched one of her scenes from the film during transport across a large region of subspace anomalies. (ENT: "Doctor's Orders")
