The last stand
Background information[]
- Discussing the cover, artist Jerome K. Moore said:
- "I used a rather unflattering photo of Leonard Nimoy, aging rapidly as Spock. I didn't "pretty" him up as I guess I should have, but I got no complaints from DC or Paramount. The lights in the storm-filled sky represent the aliens responsible for the Maelstrom, not Spock. I just wanted to feature him prominently, as the factor that saves the day." [1]
