Gregory L. Norris (born 12 May) is the writer and author who pitched the original idea for the Star Trek: Voyager fifth season episode "Counterpoint" along with Laura Van Vleet which was later re-written by Michael Taylor (Star Trek Monthly issue 80). The two also pitched the story for the fifth season episode "Gravity", re-written by Jimmy Diggs, Nick Sagan, and Bryan Fuller. [1]
Norris and Laura Van Vleet also pitched stories to Star Trek: Enterprise as well as to Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda, the Space Opera Society, Showtime, and Syfy. They also wrote the guide "Playing With The Big Boys: A Woman's Guide to Poker" in 2003 which was published by Barnes & Noble. [2] [3]
In 2015, Norris and Michael Conroy wrote the screenplay for the horror thriller Brutal Colors. He also wrote "The Q Guide to Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (2008) and the book "The Fierce and Unforgiving Muse: A Baker’s Dozen From the Terrifying Mind of Gregory L. Norris" (2011). His story "Vortex" was published in the anthology "Down with the Fallen: A Post-Apocalyptic Horror Anthology". [4]
