Hal Landon, Jr. (born 23 May 1941; age 81) played Praetor Neral in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine seventh season episode "Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges".

Landon's first role was the pencil machine operator in the surrealist David Lynch film Eraserhead. He is probably best known for playing Captain Logan, Ted "Theodore" Logan's father, in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (with Bernie Casey, Dan Shor, Jane Wiedlin, J. Patrick McNamara and Rod Loomis) and Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, which also starred DS9 guest star William Sadler. He reprised his role in the 2020 film Bill & Ted Face the Music, also starring Sadler. In Break Up (1998), he starred with Steven Weber, Michael G. Hagerty, and Jack Shearer.

Landon once guest-starred in the short-lived series Live Shot. Other Star Trek stars who were cast members include David Birney, Karen Austin, Ron Canada, Jeff Yagher, Bruce McGill, and Sam Anderson. Star Trek stars who also guest-starred include Casey Biggs, Chase Masterson, Dion Anderson, John Schuck, Lee Arenberg, Cully Fredricksen, and Kenneth Tigar.

He is also a founding member of South Coast Repertory Theater, in Costa Mesa, California.
