Dejaren with a hammer

A hammer was a tool, usually used to drive nails into wooden objects.

According to Ferengi beliefs, the hammer represented sexual prowess, while the Taqua Tribe of the planet Nagor viewed it as an icon of hearth and home. Klingons consider it a symbol of power. (TNG: "Birthright, Part I")

On Earth Two in 2266, a hammer was used by the Onlies. (TOS: "Miri")

In 2267, Commander Spock used the example "...if I let go of a hammer on a planet that has a positive gravity, I need not see it fall to know that it has in fact fallen" to explain the effects of gravity. (TOS: "Court Martial")

Later that year, Leonard McCoy said that the heart of previously ill Commissioner Nancy Hedford was "like a hammer" after the Companion had merged with her. (TOS: "Metamorphosis")

In 2370, after having an encounter with a Bajoran Orb, Major Kira Nerys told Vedek Bareil Antos that all she had seen was "lots of hammers, nails and saws, surrounded by lots of vedeks," when, in actual fact, her vision had been much different. (DS9: "The Circle")

The isomorph Dejaren used a hammer when attacking B'Elanna Torres aboard the Serosian vessel. (VOY: "Revulsion")
