The Harvester symbol

Harvester weapons were deadly nanobiogenic devices used during the wars between the T'Lani and the Kellerun. Each harvester consisted of two cylinders of lethal orange gel. Each cylinder had either a orange or a green label on it, presumably to determine which chemical was in each. When a harvester cylinder is neutralised, the chemical turns from orange to dark green.

In 2370, both sides applied for Federation assistance to destroy the harvester cylinders. Julian Bashir and Miles O'Brien of Deep Space 9 were assigned to help neutralise the weapons, using muon frequencies. (DS9: "Armageddon Game")
