The Haynes Publishing Group is a British reference book publisher based in Sparkford, England that was founded in 1960 and is principally known for its "Owners' Workshop Manuals".

Initially, these workshop manuals were published for specific cars and motorcycles and featured detailed schematics of their internal components with instructions about how to maintain and service them.

Haynes later expanded this line to cover other areas of real world transport including air, rail, sea, and space vehicles with less emphasis on maintenance and more emphasis on being informative. Lifestyle works and computer maintenance were also added to the book line-up dealing with real world subjects. Later on, books featuring vehicles and characters from fictional entertaiment properties, and writtten from an in-universe point-of-view, were also produced, including those from the Thunderbirds, Space 1999, Star Trek, and in particular the Star Wars franchises

In 2010, the company published the USS Enterprise Owners' Workshop Manual which detailed the seven starships that bore the name from the "prime universe". A subsequent publication, the Klingon Bird of Prey Owners' Workshop Manual which focused on the B'rel-class scout ship, was released in November 2012. The two Star Trek titles were licensed to Gallery Books for (near-)simulteneous release in the USA. Two 1000-piece jigsaw puzzles based on the covers of the two manuals were sub-licensed to Demand Media Ltd. and simulteneously released in November 2013 in the UK. A by Bird-of-Prey Manual co-author Rick Sternbach proposed U.S.S. Voyager Owner's Workshop Manual follow-up, did not come to fruition. [1]

The Haynes USS Enterprise Press-Out and Build Manual was published by Eight Innovation Ltd in October 2014, under a (sub-)license from Haynes Publishing and CBS Consumer Products.
