Heekyung Shin is a Digital Effects Artist who worked as a Texture Artist and a Lighting Technical Director on Star Trek: The Original Series - Remastered, as part of the CBS Digital team. She holds of Master of Fine Arts degree in Animation and Digital Arts from the University of Southern California (USC).
Shin worked as a Lighting Technical Director for Rhythm & Hues on the 2006 film Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties (starring Ian Abercrombie and featuring the voice of Greg Ellis) and is currently working with the same company on 2008's The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. She also worked on the animated 2008 film Space Chimps and on television commercials for clients such as Toyota, Nestle, Exxon and New York City.
In addition to his work in film and television, Shin currently conducts research on animation techniques at her Alma mater, USC.
