Hot sauce, such as a pepper sauce, was a type of condiment that was made with chili peppers, and therefore had a spicy flavor.
In 2381, Sisko's Creole Kitchen had a flavor of hot sauce called Ketracel White-Hot. Brad Boimler put some in his gumbo, but he couldn't handle the heat; whereas Beckett Mariner put some in hers, and she felt that it had a "nice little kick." (LD: "Grounded")
