House Tendi, also called the House of Tendi, was the fifth-largest family of the Orion Syndicate, led by Prime daughter D'Erika Tendi and her mother, Warrior Queen Shona Tendi. D'Erika herself was not prime daughter as she was the second born on Orion, although she claimed the title when her older sister, D'Vana Tendi joined Starfleet, and trained hard to prove herself. In 2381, D'Erika married her husband and live up to her role as prime daughter. As she oversaw a merger of two criminal enterprises, D'Erika was approached by her sister and the USS Cerritos captain, Carol Freeman. Freeman and D'Vana wanted help in rescuing Lieutenant jg Beckett Mariner from Nick Locarno's Nova Fleet. D'Erika initially refused until D'Vana invoked barter by combat, and had B'eth fight the Cerritos' Counselor, Dr. Migleemo. However, Migleemo lost the fight when B'eth fell on him during the fight. D'Vana agreed to return to the family in exchange for a decrepit Orion destroyer. After the successful rescue of Mariner, Tendi returned to fulfill her end of the bargain.(LD: "Something Borrowed, Something Green", "Old Friends, New Planets")
By the following year, D'Vana and her interceptor's crew carried out thefts on Collectors such as Yorif. However, D'Vana's actions during the course of their conflict with House Azure caused the family's fortune and position to be taken away by the Syndicate. At D'Erika's suggestion, D'Vana was allowed to return to Starfleet where she was happiest while D'Vana's parents enjoyed the prospect of a simpler lifestyle. (LD: "Dos Cerritos", "Shades of Green")
Shortly thereafter, at D'Vana's suggestion, the House of Tendi took a job serving as the wealth disposal service for Targalus IX, with the members of House Azure acting as their servants. (LD: "Shades of Green")
