Hwang is the last name of an actor who appeared as an operations officer in the Star Trek: The Next Generation fifth season episode "Ensign Ro". He received no credit for this appearance and was identified by the call sheet for this episode for which he filmed his scene on Wednesday 31 July 1991 on Paramount Stage 8. He was also scheduled to appear in a corridor scene (scene 79) in the episode "The Game" but was not part of the final episode. Hwang later appeared as a Starfleet Academy cadet in the fifth season episode "The First Duty" for which he filmed his scenes on Monday 27 January 1992 on location at the Japanese Garden and on Friday 31 January 1992 and on Monday 3 February 1992 on Paramount Stage 16.
