Martian North Pole

An ice cap covering the North Pole of Mars

A polar cap was a geological feature, an ice cap covering the North or South Pole of a planet. Mars had polar ice caps. (ENT: "Terra Prime")

Tau Ceti Prime had a polar ice cap. Around or before 2358, Vice admiral Janeway drowned underneath it. Kathryn Janeway was devastated by the incident. (VOY: "Coda")

While not explicitly mentioned, the North and South poles of Earth also contain ice caps. Vulcan and the Akaali homeworld also seem to have at least one. However, apart from these examples very few planets, class M or otherwise, have been visually observed to have ice caps in Star Trek.
