Indiana is a region of the ancient Earth nation-state United States of America, and contains the state capital of Indianapolis within its borders. (TNG: "The Neutral Zone")

The region also contains the city of Bloomington, birthplace of Admiral Kathryn Janeway. Janeway once remarked that her summers in Indiana had been almost as hot as those in the Rinax marshlands. (VOY: "Macrocosm")
