In 2254, when introducing himself to the Talosians, Captain Christopher Pike said that the intentions of Humans were peaceful. (TOS: "The Cage")

In 2268, while being held captive underground on the planet Minara II, Doctor Leonard McCoy commented that men weren't intended to live so far underground and that it wasn't natural. (TOS: "The Empath")

In 2365, during a game of blackjack, Lieutenant Commander Data was asked if he was a card counter. Misunderstanding the meaning of the question, Data asked what the purpose of counting cards as their number and their values remained quite constant would be. (TNG: "The Royale")
