Jem'Hadar fighter's intercooler matrix

Kira points out the location of the ship's intercooler matrix

An intercooler matrix was a feature of Jem'Hadar fighters.

In 2375, Bronok and four other members of the Cardassian Rebellion planted a bomb in a fighter's intercooler matrix, despite the fact that Kira Nerys had told them to plant it in the secondary plasma relay. Garak added that the intercooler was the obvious choice for sabotage, because Jem'Hadar made security checks, and had the Cardassians not been lucky and the Jem'Hadar not been sloppy, they could have found the bomb and disarmed it before the ship left orbit. (DS9: "Tacking Into the Wind")

In dialogue that was scripted for the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "Home", but not included in that episode's final version, Captain Hernandez informed Jonathan Archer that delay in the starship Columbia's departure from spacedock had been (at least partly) due to a problem with the ship's intercooler matrix. Archer replied that a similar problem had occurred aboard Enterprise, shortly after that vessel had left Spacedock.
