An intersection' was the place where two roads met. It could also be referred to as the corner of two intersecting streets.
In 2024, Miles O'Brien identified his and Kira Nerys's location to Jadzia Dax as the corner of Polk and California. She replied that she'd meet them there. (DS9: "Past Tense, Part II")
