Isolation Ward 4 was an area of a medical facility where Benny Russell was treated after his mental breakdown.
In Russell's room on the ward, he had written the story of Benjamin Sisko on the walls. Russell was able to finish the story despite Doctor Wykoff and an orderly trying to stop him. (DS9: "Shadows and Symbols")

In the novel Unity, the hospital Russell is treated in is called Riverdale Asylum.
"Isolation Ward 4" is also the title of a short story in Strange New Worlds IV that takes the form of Wykoff's medical notes about Russell.
