Jack Donner (29 October 1928 – 21 September 2019; age 90) was the actor who made his first Star Trek appearance as Tal in the Star Trek: The Original Series third season episode "The Enterprise Incident". He filmed his scenes on Friday 21 June 1968 at Desilu Stage 9.
Along with Majel Barrett, Joseph Ruskin, Vince Deadrick, and Clint Howard, he is one of only five actors to appear in both TOS and ENT. He and Deadrick are the only ones of the five who did not appear on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
In addition to Star Trek, some of his other 60s acting roles included The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Mission: Impossible, and Kojak.
After becoming ill in 1977, Donner retired from acting, and studied to be a licensed psychotherapist. After a few years of practice, he returned to acting in 1991.
Some of his later television roles included Frasier, Charmed, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Malcolm in the Middle, and Roswell.
