Jacqueline Zambrano is a writer and producer who wrote the Star Trek: The Next Generation second season episode "Loud As A Whisper". Her name was also referenced in the Battle of Zambrano seen in this episode. In 1993, she was interviewed by Bill Florence for the article "Jacqueline Zambrano: Writer of 'Whisper'" published in The Official Star Trek: The Next Generation Magazine issue 24.
Zambrano was the location manager on Alligator (1980) and worked as researcher on The Killing of America (1982). On Stacy's Knights (1983), she worked as production manager and first assistant director, followed by the occupation of the production manager on Making the Grade (1984) and The Lost Empire (1985).
Following her work as story editor on The Young Riders (1989, starring Brett Cullen, Yvonne Suhor, and Anthony Zerbe), Zambrano wrote the stories for episodes of The Equalizer (1989), Booker (1989), Gabriel's Fire (1990-1991), Under Suspicion (1994), The Big Easy (1996-1997), Ryan Caulfield: Year One (1999), Pensacola: Wings of Gold (1999-2000), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2001), Just Cause (2002-2003), Gemini Division (2008), and Mental (2009). She also wrote the teleplay for the drama Taking Liberty (1993) and the screenplay for In the Mix (2005).
On several television series she wrote episodes for, Zambrano also worked as executive producer including Under Suspicion, The Big Easy, Pensacola: Wings of Gold, Ryan Caulfield: Year One, and Just Cause. Zambrano received two Edgar Allan Poe Award nominations for Best Television Episode in 1991 for the Gabriel's Fire pilot episode and in 1995 for the Under Suspicion pilot episode.
