James is the first name of the actor who worked as stand-in for Ethan Phillips on the Star Trek: Voyager fourth season episode "Message in a Bottle". He was not part of the primary filming as the scenes with Phillips were filmed in second unit during the production of the episode "Waking Moments". James also filled in as stand-in for Phillips during the production of the episode "Hunters".
