Jana Wallace was a script typist on I AM ERROR. She later continued the same work for I AM ERROR and I AM ERROR. She also worked as Gene Roddenberry's secretary prior to his death in 1991. The character Darien Wallace, played by Guy Vardaman, was named in her honor. Today, she is married and is known as Jana Schneider.
Apart from working behind the scenes, she was seen in a non-speaking role as a command division lieutenant jg aboard the USS Enterprise-D in The Next Generation sixth season episode "Chain of Command, Part I" in 1992. Her character was present during the transfer of command ceremony held in Ten Forward in 2369 when Captain Jean-Luc Picard handed over command of the Enterprise-D to Captain Edward Jellico.
